ORBIS works in partnership with local hospitals, governments and communities to deliver long-term projects to strengthen the capacity of eye care facilities and raise awareness of avoidable blindness in countries such as Ethiopia, India, Bangladesh, China and Vietnam. ORBIS programs focus on childhood blindness and improving sustainable access to remote rural communities in the world's poorest countries.
Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), founded in 1966, motivates children to read by working with them, their parents, and community members to make reading a fun and beneficial part of everyday life. RIF's highest priority is reaching underserved children from birth to age 8. Through a national, grassroots network of community volunteers at 21,000 program sites, RIF provides 5 million children with 17 million new, free books and literacy resources each year.
LivingHopeAsia is a non-profit charity that was set up in 2005 to raise funds for supporting the growth and development of orphans and disadvantaged children by providing them with a safe and happy home for their upbringing. Our first target is to help the orphans in China, through supporting the work of Living Hope International in its setting up and operation of orphanages.
World Vision Singapore helps innocent children around the world who suffer from exploitation, abandonment, abuse, slavery and child labor through their Children in Crisis program. This is a series of different projects where World Vision reaches out to help vulnerable children by providing them with shelter, protection and ensure that they receive basic needs such as healthcare, education and decent job opportunities.
